Positions: Surface Mount Operators, QC Inspectors, 2nd Operation Assemblers

Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years experience

Positions available for Day and Swing Shifts, full-time regular or temporary.

Position: Purchasing Buyer

Position Description: Procure manufacturing materials directly from MRP systems in support of time-critical manufacturing operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Analyze MRP Data & resolve concerns over completeness and accuracy
  • Work directly from MRP data in placing purchase orders and changes with suppliers
  • Use highly automated procurement tools to increase speed, productivity and accuracy
  • Expertly use Excel, including database exports and spreadsheet exchanges with suppliers
  • Selecting suppliers that meet price, quality and delivery requirements
  • Negotiate and resolve business issues; including cost, invoices and MRB/RTV
  • Work within financial authority and authorization policies
  • Maintain timeliness and accuracy of data records such as cost, lead time, delivery and status
  • Meet the objectives for the dept. in the timeliness & volume of orders placed and managed
  • Intelligently resolving problems in support of meeting factory schedules and customer deliveries
  • Appraise management of significant changes and risk to production schedules
  • Perform other responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Business or equivalent job experience.
  • 3+ years experience as a Buyer, Planner or Scheduler in a manufacturing and/or R&D environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the initiative to make things happen.
  • Experience in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) applications; including time-phased requirements and gross-to net-calculations
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of the APICS body of knowledge. APICS certification is a plus
  • Personal initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well with other functional groups and at all levels in the organization as required in a team orientated culture.
  • Willingness to candidly address problems and mistakes that will have an effect on the factory and/or customer commitments.
